The End of The World Music Festival celebrated the last day of the Mayan calendar at the #1 Legion. Musicians and artists performed their "last sets" to herald in the fall (or beginning) of a new era.
Garrett McClure, of Scars and Scarves, had always wanted to recreate Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable. This series of performances from the late sixties combined dance, a live soundtrack by the Velvet Underground and Nico, and Warhol's films.
I was thrilled when McClure asked me to cover John Cale's parts in our recreation. Joe Kelly screened visuals while Rosanna Terraciano and Taryn Javier danced.
