This is my friend Eileen Kosasih. A few weeks ago we were only acquaintances, but then we ran into each other at ArtSpot's 4th Annual Under $100 Art Show, and realized we were cool versions of each other.
Eileen is a freelance violinist, face-painter, and artist.
You can check out her intricate ink drawings here.
On a muffled Saturday afternoon, she picked me up to spectate her show at Cornerstone Music Cafe. Part coffeeshop, part music studio, this cozy venue in Deer Ridge also hosts performances every Saturday at 3:30.

I hyper-caffeinated with an exquisite dark roast and settled in to watch Eileen's band, Czarkologie. Composed this time of Eileen on violin and Anthony Czarnecki on piano, the group performs Czarnecki's original compositions of neo-classical and jazz. Their music accompanied the sounds of the Cornerstone; the narrow hiss of the espresso machine jostled with the violin's meandering tones and the piano's staccato.
Eileen was kind enough to give me a ride home, and I think we have been better friends since. I am working up the courage to ask if she wants to jam some duets.
